On the bottom tier of the Bastion lays the circle of various complexes and houses in which the people live. While poverty is scarce, this is the lowest form of living, often considered "middle class" to anyone not used to this style of living.

On the second tier of the great Bastion is where the stores and shops are located. There are a few houses here, but the vast majority is nothing but business.

Further up is the high-living sector on the third tier. Nobility and Royalty alike live within large houses made of the finest stone and steel. this is also where most guard outposts are located.

Deep within the Bastion is a seemingly endless smithing quarry, the source of all the steel and metalwork that gives the empire its name. It's defining feature of this place is the variety of machinery that seems to power the entire Bastion with heat and steam, giving way to technology that is unavailable anywhere else.
