He had decided to be quiet. That was good. Maybe her Ice could outlast his flame after all. Taunny zoned out on another guard when the flame returned yet again. Still with the probing questions. Talking with the other diplomats was hard for Taunny. She had to still her snappy tongue. Even now she wanted to lash out that he needed to take the hint of her silence. Or to simply ignore him. Either one would be to her liking. But no. She had to be respectful and the like. Luckily she never seemed expected to need to say much.
"I would give you the shortest answer. So perhaps this is a story for another time. When I'm feeling a little more talkative perhaps? Then I could give you the full story. Rather than just giving you an answer that will only make more questions."
Some of the most she had spoken today. Both serving her evasive purposes and disproving his accusation of giving only the shortest answer possible.

The emperor scratches his head in confusion, baffled. She was still acting antisocial. So much for that. Forming an agreement for peace amongst nations is one thing, but the human element still needs to be addressed. Zolanius smiles, then releases a hearty laugh. He lays a heavy hand on her shoulder as a playful "Well done."
"You really are something else, aren't you? A rose with thorns that are frozen over. A rare find, even amongst people. You need to let loose!" He then advances to something of a half hug, obvious that he was just being friendly. "You and me, we should have a drink some time. Maybe host a party to celebrate the establishment of your embassy! What do you say to that, huh? A nice escape from the recent disasters rattling our lands.~"
An escape would be nice. Sure, he could do this by himself, but what would be the point with nobody else to celebrate with? Perhaps even Arwen can participate. After all, they were both good people, even though they have their quirks about them.

He was trying to be friendly still. Ugh. Breaking the lines of appropriate boundaries. The world was a much less formal place than it once was. At one point it would have been looked down upon for the emperor of one kingdom to be embracing the leader of another. Those where the days. Taunny thought of ignoring the offer of an escape. But it would be rude of her to decline and not quite of her character to not consider the possibilities of drunk leaders rambling about there lives.
"Perhaps."
Taunny stayed in the forced embrace a fraction longer before side stepping out of it. Re distancing herself. The half-hug had gone on longer than she felt was appropriate. Though it never was appropriate to begin with really.

Pity. She didn't even enjoy a hug, nay, a half hug! All that ice really has frozen her heart. So caught up in formalities. And all she answered with was a "perhaps."
"Better than a no! But seriously, you do need to think about getting some social skills..." He holds up Eon, the blade hanging down from his fist, examining it. The strobing lights from the elevator shaft giving the blade an irregular sheen. "A nation is only as strong as its leader, much like how steel works with a sword. It's supposed to be hard, sharp and should only be involved when absolutely necessary. But even steel needs to be soft at times. If you remain too distant, you'll eventually break under your own weight." He presents the blade to her, showing the full gleam of the silvery sparkling blade. "You should try to be like Eon here. Strong enough to make a difference, but soft enough to take a hit."
The lift eventually comes to a stop, and the wide doors open to a large hall with people inside. They were a mix of soldiers, well-dressed slaves, nobles and merchants. Probably waiting to meet with the emperor or some other officials over some problems. "Great... Looks like I'll have a busy night again."

Blah. Blah. Bla blah. His speach was wasted on her ears. Taunny even sighed a little. She was not a child to be lectured and did not enjoy being treated as such. Oh but here was a sight. As if brought fourth to emphasis his point. The emperor loving people of Omniforge. Most of Permafrost had no idea who Taunny was. She spent most of her time out of public light. Appearing during disaster and the like. Seeing her was thought of as a bad sign by many. But the show of people meerly lost his argument. She had no desirs to split dolls among the people. Her people could take care of that themselves. How much further could they be? Surely this croud of people would not be allowed to camp outside the viewing district.

Zolanius stepped out of the lift and was immediately met with murmurs and bows, the entire room acknowledging his presence. A young girl, barely dressed yet adorned with silver bands on her wrists, arms, ankles, thighs, waist and neck came walking and presented a plate with various assorted cheeses. Zolanius was a sucker for some good cheese! "Thank you, kindly!" He sheathed Eon into a harness hidden in his cape, and picked up a tiny cheese wedge on a toothpick. "Taunny, care for some? Omniforge cheeses have pepper in them. A lovely smokey flavor.~"
After eating the tiny wedge whole, he proceeded to the large door that took up most of the wall. Two guards rushed to meet him, and opened the doors for him. They were met with a brilliant view of the land outside of the Bastion. From there, they could see down into the lower sections, and the fields of Garuna. He kept walking and started down some stairs, took a left, and it now appeared as though they were on the edge of a large stone cliff with metal rails preventing any accidental slip-ups.
"Welcome to the viewing district!~"

The jewelry was the mark of a slave. Often times a fully willing one. The emperor was living in a men's dream land here. Beautiful women bringing him cheese on a plate while people bow to him. He enjoyed every moment of it to. She was almost shocked he hadn't used the sword to pick up his cheese seeing as this was the first time he had bothered really putting it away. Taunny refused the cheese with a wave of her hand.
Silence. Beautiful silence. But as usual it only lasted for so long. He presented the view with a flourish. Taunny on the other hand hardly glanced to the scene. Instead her eyes where on the Emperor.
"And which way is it to my quarters?"

Once again, she wasn't that impressed. Pity that. Zolanius decided then that if she doesn't want to enjoy herself here, then he won't force her. He started walking down the path, the steel of his boots clanging against the stone and steel walkway. It really that long though, since they were now standing in front of a large, somewhat triangular building made completely of stone.
"Here we are! This was created with nobility in mind. Multiple rooms, partially underground, and there should be plenty of space for your scientists and ambassadors, should you choose to send any." There was then a slight tremor, rumblings from underneath them. It wasn't that violent, but troublesome nonetheless. "These quakes will be the death of me, I'm sure. Tell me, have you experienced any issues over by the islands?"
Might just be none of his business, but concern with him had no prejudices. Even if he was at war, he would show mercy for the sake of peace, unless all-out decimation was the only option.

Hmm. The accommodation where not as terrible as Taunny had imagined they would be. She would be sending at least one permanent resident immediately. Ah and here was the perfect spot for a centerpiece. But what would be a good one? She couldn't remove any of the ones currently in her office back home. Taunny was finally finding something to enjoy herself with and it wasn't being interrupted by the pushy flame of the Emperor. But something else did interrupt. The tremor brought Tuanny out of that moment of entertainment. Slight, slight entertainment.
"Some. We are used to regular avalanches so we are pre prepared for those. The buildings are fortified to try and stand up to avalanches which cause more damage than most earthquakes usually. We have had a few terrible blizzards, but its never not a blizzard in Permafrost."
There. A full conversation of material. Perhaps that would excuse her for insulting his empire by hardly offering it a glance. Omniforge probably received more damage from the earthquakes. But its easy access to materials meant things where likely fixed quickly. She could see already that the Bastion was not in a bad state by any sense.

Okay, good... Everything was fine in Permafrost. Now to address one last thing. "Well if you'd like, we may finally separate so you can get used to things, but I do have a favor to ask of you." He turned towards the mountains, obviously staring at the light show. "The lights have been becoming increasingly irregular. They have those of us here frightened. Some are spouting nonsense about it being the end of the world, but I'm sure its nothing..."
The truth was, he is afraid that those rumors are correct. Something is happening in those mountains, but there was no telling what. The mines are as close as anyone else has gotten. Time to drop the question. "When you get your scientists settled here, could they decipher what those lights mean? Or at least give confirmation as to whether they are dangerous or not?"
Any kind of solace would be better than ignoring it. Nobody is willing to go up there for whatever reasons they have. Mostly fear... And depending on what's up there, Zolanius can't go alone.

"Arwen has already requested that I look into the anomaly's that have been plaguing Garuna. I have taken notice of the lights here and imagine they are related. I had every intention of perusing an investigating the lights."
Perusing was the key word there. It made it sound like she may have asked permission first. She probably wouldn't have. Didn't matter now that she had full permission to do as she pleased towards the lights. Now investigations could start immediately. This trip was looking better and better.

Arwen, of course. His compassion reaches beyond his boarders, it seems. But who can blame him? The lights stretched far, and for some reason, Pokemon become unnerved by them. We need Pokemon to explore further, but when they can't focus, it becomes futile to continue. He continues staring at the lavishing lights, then snaps back to attention.
"Thank you, Taunny. Should you require manpower or funds, you can request an audience so we can discuss terms. Have a good night..."
Well, that was a win/lose. He established a better relationship with the leader of Permafrost, but Taunny as a person remained stoic and indifferent. But in the long run, there's really nothing he can do about that. He started moving back towards the stone palace steps, ready to face the crowd that was met earlier. Coming from an elevator with an attractive woman dressed like that? The thought was a nice one, but having to explain that might get complicated.

Funding. There was something Taunny was always ready to take advantage of. With the first step the emperor took towards the door, Taunny took towards the bathroom. Already removing her clothes. She would be naked before she got to the cover of the door. But she continued straight into the bathroom. The water began running.
By the time anyone arrived in the morning Taunny would be gone, when questioned people would claim they saw a three headed dragon silhouette as it flew from the view district. Many would claim it was a Hydreigon. A single glass of water sitting at a table is the only sign someone had been there. The glass is still pretty full and appears to have been sitting in the single spot as its created quite a ring on the table. Anyone searching the house will find that someone is in the bed though. The frame appears much to small to be Taunny.

The following morning, Zolanius took care of all his business. Met with merchants, ate, had his exercises, and had the rest of the day all to himself. It had only just dawned on him that Taunny might still be in the soon-to-be embassy. He made his way to the building after meeting with even more people and tasting cheese. Gotta love that cheese! Now at the door, he knocks gently.
...Nothing. He knocks yet again!
...Still nothing. He turns the knob to find that it was unlocked, and the entire place felt empty. Zola walked up to the glass and lifted it, staring carefully at the glass. Looked just like water... He took a small sip. Yup, water. He went deeper to find somebody under the covers. He tilted his head and wondered for a moment. Who could this be? With a deep breath he gave a very loud and projected "AHEM!!!"

The covers shift a little as whoever is under them rolls over. But they continue to sleep. One of there arms is laying out of the blanket now. The skin is certainly to completely white to be Taunnys. Taunny might be white but she has a little color. This skin was truly white. At the wrist there is a icy blue wrist cuff. A high pitched voice trails out.
"I promise.... there's is no school...today...."
