It pleased the emperor that she accepted his offer, if only for the night. But this presented opportunity! She was an enigma, and he had to solve her. Mysterious women piqued his interest, and whatever secrets they held called to him. He was hoping to learn the reason behind her cold mannerisms and purpose for being so distant. Part of him wanted to learn the more... Physical aspects. She dressed like that for a reason, right? Right... But even if none of these goals were met, there was always the pleasant company of a good friend in the palace.
He walked back to the Lapras and returned her to the pokeball. Tis a pleasant gift, and hopefully useful. He walks back to the lift where Taunny is waiting, and stands next to her. The guards waiting with them with the two young girls present their swords. They are longswords with an interesting design, jagged blades with hand guards in an uneven pattern. They slide the swords into slots on opposite ends of the lift, and with a twist, the lift suddenly jerks, and begins rising. Zolanius and the guards were unaffected by this, but the two girls jumped and whined a bit as certain attributes of their persons became displaced by physics.~ No telling with Taunny though. Zola was trying not to stare.

The elevator ride was quiet. Taunny seemed focused on one of the guards in the cabin. After a small bit of akward stareing she began to shuffle her papers. Got to one that seemed to her liking and began drawing on it. No Taunny had not suddenly developed a desire for the oposite sex. Her subject was instead the swords. This was her first chance to examin one upclose. In moments she had a decent sketch and was already making various scribbled notes all over the page. Once satisfied, having scribbled out several things while frowning at them, she extended a hand to the guard she had been akwardly staring at
"Your weapon."
'Personal guests' of the emperor shouldnt need to ask. Taunny had no intention of doing so. She wondered how zolanius would react. Perhaps she would recive her own key for her quarters.

The guard simply stared back, giving no response or reaction whatsoever. This was the one that seemed like a zombie. If you can see into the helmet, you would see the pupils are much, much smaller than they usually are. Zolanius turned and spoke sternly to the guard. "Allow her to examine your sword." The guard silently withdrew the sword from the sheath, and presented it to her. Not a standard design, obviously meant for something other than combat, but its weight and jagged blade make it as much of a threat as any other weapon. "This is a security measure, of course, but you're not allowed to keep that.~ After all, only authorized denizens of Omniforge may have those."
After a while, the lift comes to a stop, and we are met by guards of the same uniform but of slightly different design. The bound girls are passed over, and carried away. "In order to start the lift again, the swords need to be turned again... Mind doing the honors?~" The first guard locks his sword into place and waits for her to engage the second mechanism. "And uh... Turn it to the right."

Taunny thought she had perhaps over stepped her bounds. But the guard didn't show any change or register she had said anything. The guard did respond perfectly naturally when prompted by zolanius. Taunny was suspicious of this. But it would require further thought. For now her thoughts where fully for the sword. Sadly there was not much room to wield it. But it felt useable. When the elevatro stopped she was already moving for the keyhole to try it out before the emperor had prompted as such. It slid perfectly into the lock like any normal key. Taunny wanted to turn it left. If only because she had been told not to. Why make the specification? She hesitated for a momet before turning it right. Now was not the time to cause any problems. The elevator came to life. Taunny handed off the key and changed her interest.
The two girls. What exactly would there fates be now. She could only imagine. it wasn't a thought she minded really. The only regret was that they where innocent Permafrost citizens. In the end she really didn't care.

The guard silently took back the sword and sheathed it, not really giving any thought. "I hope you don't mind the rudeness of some of these guards. They really aren't the sociable type anymore. A lot can happen to a man of action." Not really meaning to sound so cryptic, but what happens in Omniforge stays in Omniforge. This is why the the use of slaves isn't widely accepted, but given the power that this empire possesses, there's not much that can be done.
The lift now comes to another stop, the top floor. In front us, a door is opened by two other guards. "Please, do keep pace. I'd hate for you to get lost.~" He begins walking, leaving the others behind as the doors close behind them. After a few turns and corners, and a flight of stairs, more turns, they reach a large, empty room with marble columns, a regal carpet stretching towards the center of the room, and four armored guards carrying halbeards. At first glance, they appear to be just suits of armor. Stare at them long enough, and you can see that they are just barely breathing. Zolanius comes up to what appears to be another slot, like the ones from the elevator, only of a different design. He lines up his blade, Eon, with the slot, and drops it in. With a loud click, the floor in front of him opens to reveal a large throne rising from below. He sits in the throne with Eon now right next to him, as the slot was rising with the throne so the handle would be within arm's reach.
"Now then... There is some business I would like to discuss with you. That is, if you feel like engaging in political matters."

Taunny was mentally recording everything she saw. Being certain she would record it down later. She was running out of paper to write on for now and couldn't do it much while walking. The throne needing a key to unlock it seemed a little big headed of the king. Who cares if Someone else sits on your fancy chair? She smirked slight as she thought of how she could probably convince him to let her sit in it. Oh but then he dropped the bomb. Taunny had expected this. He wouldn't have offered her to stay if he hadn't had more in mind besides letting her sleep and head home, there was also the thoughts of 'enjoying' her company but that wasn't going to happen. With her usual bored expression she shuffled her papers until finding a spot she found suitable for writing and began her usual scribbling that was probably not legible to anyone other than her.
"What might it be that needs discussing?"

To the point, as usual. She must be brainwashed of her own accord, or something. But that was something that is always reversible. Maybe. Onto the topic at hand.
"Your presence here, while welcome, is an empty feat. You came all the across the continent bearing gifts, but immediately request to leave. Your companions might share my opinion in that its not very practical. This is why I'm going to offer you a spot in the bastion. An embassy to make future visits less bothersome, a place where your government can have a presence."
This needed to be done anyways. After all, where else would ambassadors go in a time of crisis? A safe haven from extremists and radicals that might not want a foreign presence in the empire. Unfortunately, there is only so much that Zolanius can do about that, and the idea of an embassy is the first idea.

A spot in the bastion. This sounded promising. Taunny began wondering if she would get her own key sword again. She would visit the Bastion more often if it meant more opportunity to study it. Though the emperor had made a comment about only soldiers getting them. Or something of the like. But business as usual Taunny continued her scribbling.
"I would have to bare witness to the accommodations before being able to say much of anything on this topic. It would be more practical had we headed there."
Because now of course they would need to walk over to wherever this embassy was. It was suspect that Zolanius merely wanted to show off his appearing chair act. He would get to activate it twice now.

"And I had just gotten comfortable. Are you sure you'd want to right now? After all, we have all night into morning to plan ahead and enjoy ourselves.~" Might have been a lame excuse, but after sitting down he didn't enjoy having to stand back up. Depending on the answer, he might just have to anyways. He leans back in his throne and places a grip on Eon, resting his hand on the pommel.
"Besides, this is usually when I let my Pokemon out for their exercises. All... Of them." This meant Canis as well. In order to keep his Pokemon in shape, he usually has them spar with one another, and do some tests. Save for Draco. That one was always battle-ready. Such anger... There might be something wrong with that one.

Taunny would have asked what else he had in mind to do. But with the mention of him releasing all his Pokemon, with his little pause. She didn't want to be anywhere in the area. It was for the better anyways, she could easily imagine what other things he might have had in mind.
"It would be best if we went to examine the area now. No reason to stray off topic."
Taunny may have kept her cool. But she did shuffle her notes away. Perhaps a sign of her nervousness at the thought of the demon Pokemon. Or maybe she was just done taking notes. There where only so many things you could write down after all.

He stands up in a rather comical fashion, in a "Fine, you win" kind of manner. He lifts Eon out from the pedestal, and the throne slowly lowers its way into the floor before completely disappearing. This actually served a function, but the secrets of the Bastion would be just that. Secrets. No need to disclose unnecessary information, lest we "stray off topic."
"There are several locations within the viewing district that can provide as fortifications. In fact, it is in the viewing district that most of the wealthy citizens choose to live, if you don't mind all the soldiers patrolling day and night."
It really was the most preferred zone for soldiers and merchants as it is above the others, presenting a lovely view of Garuna. The patrols were necessary, because where there is wealth, there is a crook willing to try. Forever and always.

Viewing district meant that that it was placed for the view. Not exactly something Taunny cared for much. If it was where the wealthy lived it meant it was an upper class, comfy area. It also meant it was well secured. It was strategic to place her there. It should be seen as a courtesy but still be a place she could be under watch. Just in case. But did it really matter? It wasn't as though she intended to stay often. Or go to war. Just the opposite in fact.
"Where ever you think wold be best."
It is his empire after all. He would know the best place to leave her. Tonight it would have random furnishing. By the end of the week she would have the room outfitted to her liking.

Wherever he thinks is best? Yeah... Too easy. Back on topic, the viewing district was the perfect area. "So it is decided then? Very well. Follow me." He immediately begins walking, and decides to begin conversation while heading through a different path than before.
"So tell me, Taunny... What is it like growing up in a tundra? Could it be that which gave you your cold personality? Or do you simply not enjoy my company? Come now, be honest." Such is the way he would learn more about this forbidden fruit, this rose of the tundra. There's no telling what is going on through her head. Was she thinking of the Emperor? Worrying about Canis? Or simply what's for dinner? He would find out eventually.

The emperor was inquisitive today.Taunny could relate to that. And in a mood to talk. That on the other hand was not something she could relate to. An insult, a true one but an insult all the same, and being playful. She would react to neither.
"Who said i grew up in Permafrost. "
Taunny continued walking. It was more a question but she said it as a statment. It seemed unlikely her cold personality would halt the heat wave off his flamboyant one. Neither would that heat melt her ice. It was odd that there oposing personalities matched there kingdom's so well. Odder still that the kingdoms of opposing elements had formed such a cooperative truce.

It was an abrupt answer to what he thought was a good question, but it also made him chuckle a bit. He should've expected it, but he held out hope that she would've let loose at least a little bit. But so much for that! A few more turns and they find themselves on another lift. Two more guards were waiting, and it was impossible to tell them apart until they both saluted with a sudden "Sir!"
Zolanius gave the order. "Gathering hall, please," With a "Yes, my lord!" from both of them, they plunged their swords into the slots and the lift suddenly started to fall. Now to continue the conversation.
"At least tell me how a woman like you came to be the ruler of Permafrost. I'm hoping it would be a riveting tale, but from you, you might just give me the shortest possible answer." He laughed a bit, his chuckles echoing through the shaft, while the soldiers, not quite sure what was funny, gave a few chuckles just to laugh.
