Calin was finally able to relax. He shrugged off his coat and threw it to the side. Calin was surprised, the cold really didn't get to him just the wind. He was quite comfortable here. Which was good seeing how he could be spending a long time here.
He stripped down to a black muscle shirt, and some very comfortable baggy black pants. He let out his pokemon at the same time, making the suite seem a little cramped, but he didn't care. He filled up the bathtub for his Seadra. It splashed around happily before getting ready to go down for a nap. His other pokemon took their positions, Gratua dominating the back wall, with Runi on top his head. Trapinch of course believing the bed was his jumped right on it, and Swablu found a comfortable chair that was fitting for a bed for him.
Calin found a place on the couch for himself and stretched out, sore from a day of sitting and traveling, some rest was called for before he met with the leader of this icicle of a country.

Two knocks at the door. Then a several second pause before it opens. Taunny walks in with her usual expression of looking somewhere between bored and agitated. She was a little agitated in fact. Nothing new really. But the fact that Zolanius had decided to send an ambassador to stay here simply because she had left Lolli back in Omniforge seemed childish. What was an ambassador needed here for? She had left Lolli because he had requested she investigate the odd lights there. How was she supposed to have that investigated without sending people there. Sure she had used it as an excuse to get Lolli as far away as possible. But at least it had grounds. Sending someone here just because she had someone there was ridiculous.
Either way here he was. And here she was to greet him. Dressed in her normal odd attire of a short skit, trench coat, and a tight open top. Her glasses sitting just a little to low on her nose. A stack of cluttered papers tucked in one arm. Making her way Calin, seeming to take no notice of any of the Pokemon. They had, after all, been checked upon his arrival to assure none where fire types.
"Ambassador Karta, It's nice to have a chance to meet you. I trust you didn't find to much trouble getting here?"
Ofcourse he probably did but wouldn't say. Out of all the places he could have gone Permafrost had to be the hardest to get to. He would have needed to take a train from the Omniforge to the coast. From there a ship to take him to the other side of Garuna. Then the slow ride though the single channel that as kept open on the ice. Or he could have just as easily ridden Pokemon though that process. Flown as far as the beginning of the break in the ice then used one of his water Pokemon to swim the rest of the way. Or just some combination of Pokemon and a vehicle.

Two knocks, and Calin let out a deep breath. He had to motivate himself to get back up. The knocker let them self in. Calin could only think of one person who could get away with such treatment. He was proven right at the sight of the signature trench coat and skirt. She strode past everything in his room directly to him. He had barely sat up by the time she reached her destination.
Taunny started this meeting with the usual polite greetings. Which was a rhetoric question, which he was expected to lie about, and Calin had been mentally preparing to play these games for awhile. He highly doubted this would be the same as his visit with Arwen. He of course had taken a train to the coast. He from their was fed up and used his pokemon to cross the bay, switching between Runi in the air, and Gratua swimming across. Then through the process of making sure he had no fire pokemon, and because he was a dignitary no other illegal documents or things of the sort, and no devices, and a few other things. Calin could think of only a few words to some it up.
"Not much." Calin said with a polite smile, which vanished just as quickly as it came, as he went back to his professional blank slate. "What do i owe the pleasure?"

Taunny liked him so far. Straight and to the point. Few words exchanged. Things would be simple and sweet. For now at least. People had a habit of letting her down.
"Just here to give you a formal greeting. I have a feeling you might just be here a while." Taunny snapped her fingers, an almost piercing noise. In behind her came a Hypno carrying a small glass case over its head. In the head, atop a pillow, was a Pokemon egg. The egg itself was bright pink with a single royal purple stripe in the middle. "I also have a gift."
Taunny extended her hand towards the case. Offering the egg to him. Some people thought that the design of an egg revield what was inside. Others claimed the color or weight would yield its secrets. This egg seemed especially heavy. Upon touching it one would find it to be cold. Though allot of things in Permafrost where cold. Perhaps it would heat up once it had the chance to absorb some heat from somewhere else. Upon you taking the egg the Hypno leaves the room walking perfectly backwards exactly as it entered.

Taunny said she was here for a formal greeting. Calin didn't believe one word of it, well maybe for a typical greeting, but he could tell she wasn't happy he was here, it was obvious for her. She probably came here to size up just how bad it would be for having him here. Next thing he knew she was presenting a gift. Calin guessed she would give him some trivial device that she would test his reaction. A hypno appeared with something Calin had not expected. A pokemon egg. Calin broke his stone face, for one of slight puzzlement, it wasn't a huge one like a normal person would have, but it was there.
"I don't know what to say." Calin stated simply. "Many thanks Madam Taunny."
As carefully as possible Calin's powerful, but sure hands grabbed the case. He lightly sat down, and let the egg rest on his lap. It was heavier than what it seemed like it should be. Deliberately, his fingers began caressing the top of the egg, as if it were already hatched and a baby pokemon laid resting in his lap. It had a slight chilling touch to it, and Calin under the thought that eggs needed incubating, grabbed his coat and lightly wrapped it around the egg.
Though Calin's attention was absorbed in the egg, he did note that the Hypno seemed a little sly, and could easily teleport into his room, and he would bet his arm that it was a very quiet spy for Taunny. Calin made a mental note of the thing, and returned his attention to Taunny, his hand still caressing the egg.
"Thank you very much." He took Taunny's hand, and kissed it lightly, followed with the best bow he could give from his sitting position. "Is there anyway I can assist you in anything?" Calin asked, his blank stone like demeanor back in full swing.
He would admit she hit his soft spot, pokemon. But he was still a Guardian of Omniforge and had a certain reputation to up hold which he would. Though mainly his thoughts were revolved around this egg and taking care of it.

The cold of the egg could be felt even through the coat. In moments the coat too was cold and the cold began seeping into your lap. Taunny turned and headed for the door. Turning on her heels when she got to the doorway.
"I don't belive there is much else needed. I'll be in my office if you need anything further." Then as if an after thought. "its going to take allot more than any heat you'll find in Permafrost." With that she left, closing the door behind her. Leaving you alone with only your Pokemon again. It was several minuets before there was another knock at the door. It was immediately clear it wasn't Tuanny because they never did open it. Who else could be coming by?

The cold of the egg was spreading, and soon not just his coat, but his whole lap was feeling the chill coming from the egg. Calin kept his external attention focused on Taunny, but inside he was just baffled by this egg. She said there wasn't anything she needed him for, and she would be in her office. As she was leaving she turned back, and dropped one last thing on him.
"its going to take allot more than any heat you'll find in Permafrost."
And like that she was gone, the door closing behind her. With that Calin casually laid it aside, and then began tearing through all his winter gear attempting to wrap and insulate the thing as best as possible. He heard a knock at his door as he was putting the finishing pieces on his pile of coats and blankets. They didn't just barge in, so Calin figured it wasn't Taunny.
"Runi, come here, and try to help with this please." Calin said in a slightly strained voice. The dragonair floated up off it's perch on Gratua's head, and tenderly wrapped herself around the pile of clothing. Calin somewhat scrambled to the door. he took a brief moment to regain his demeanor and opened the door.
"Yes?" he answered it coolly, with his blank face.

i57.photobucket.com/albums/g228/lefie/wog3ep1-saladin.jpgA young man walked in. His shoulders strikingly bear for a resident of permafrost. Though a long white cape did drape down his back. Perhaps it was insulated? On the left of bare shoulders rode an Abra, one dressed in the same cape that doubled as a hood that the man wore. Eyes closed and head down as usual. Looked like it was sleeping, but anyone who had encountered an Abra before wouldn't be fooled. They always looked like they where sleeping. At the mans waste was two twin swords, similar in style to Falcata but not quite the same. The straps on his thigh held several Pokeballs. Upon entering he extend a hand in greeting. "Abra Temleka. I have been assigned to assist you with learning your way around town. While your here you'll probably be able to find me in the lobby any time you need me for anything. And I mean anything." He seemed to be hinting at something. What exactly was unclear. Perhaps he wasn't very good at trying to imply whatever it was he was implying. He took a look around the room. Sizing up your Pokemon.

A strange man walked in slightly, and held out his hand. He was dressed strange even for one of permafrost. Calin showed no emotion to the strange man, and gave a polite firm handshake. "I am Ambassador Karta."
The guy, Temleka, with an abra on his shoulder, expalined he would be the one to help Calin fit in around here. Calin usually didn't take advantage of these kind of people, most often they were babysitters, and spies, plus he just enjoyed doing things on his own. He said he would do anything for Calin, internally Calin rolled his eyes. I'm sure you would
He saw Temleka eyeing his pokemon. Calin was quite used to this, not too many people carried dragons and unevolved pokemon with them, but Calin was quite happy with his team, and he did a quick glance over his team also. His eyes going to Runi last, his pride and joy and also his oldest friend. Then his mind went to the egg, his newest addition. Maybe this guy could actually be of some use to Calin.
"Actually I do have a small problem." Calin walked over to his bundle of blankets that Runi was wrapped around, and he uncovered the egg. "This was a gift, and I am not very knowledgeable about the care of pokemon eggs. this thing is chilled all the way through, maybe you could give me some insight, or point me to someone who can?"
Calin explained his dilemma in an even crisp military tone.

Karta. Not a bad name. Suited the dragon trainer. The man stroked his chin as he considered the answer to the question.
"I do know somewhere that might know. But i'd like to make a deal. I'll tell you where, after a battle? One vee one?"
An odd request considering he had just offered to help with whatever you needed. It seemed he wanted a chance to see your Pokemon in action.

The man stroked his chin a little as if deciding now if he did want to help Calin or not.He then said he would after a battle. Calin wasn't sure where the guy was going with this, but he didn't say Calin had to win so he had nothing to lose but some time. He glanced over his shoulder at his pokemon.
"Sure. Atin lets go." His Trapinch got up and hopped off the bed, and waddled over to Calin's side, as the guy gently picked up the egg, still wrapped in a few blankets. "So where are we doing this?"

Abra smiled excitedly then led the way to his chosen arena. An unused lot in the business district, they where probably on top of several feet of snow. On the way here he had wrapped himself in his cloak, leaving just his eyes visible on his face and not much of his lower body visible either. Since he hadn't summoned a Pokemon it seemed apparent he would use the Abra on his shoulder.
"Guest and esteemed ambassadors first."
A taunt or a compliment? This guy really didn't seem to know how to use his words well. His eyes hinted at a smile though. How where you supposed to attack with his Pokemon up on his shoulder? Maybe this guy didn't even understand how to battle. He was likely a lower level, only had an Abra after all. If he was a higher level it seemed like an amateur mistake. Or would it make you the amateur for underestimating your opponent? Perhaps its you who doesn't understand the rules of battle.

They were led to a lot in what seemed to be a business district. Calin had opted to not wear anything, and leave his coverings on the egg he had. When the snow was making it hard for Atin to keep up, Calin crouched down, and easily took Atin's weight onto his shoulder, and continued the rest of the way there.
The guy didn't said forth a pokemon, but took a stance as if to begin the fight. He then said the first move was Calin's. The man still gave no clear indication that he had chosen a pokemon or was ready to battle. It was quite odd, almost everything about him was odd, but that wouldn't stop Calin. If the guy was going to play games, he was going to learn real quick that Calin didn't roll that way.
"Ok. You have yet to specify a pokemon, so I'm guessing you have selected Abra. let's go Atin."
Atin hopped off his shoulder, and found his footing in the snow. He tunneled through it as if he was born to, and was halfway between the two humans when he resurfaced. The guy still had not let the abra off his shoulder, did he think that would stop Calin? It wasn't a matter Calin had chosen Atin for his reliability. With calm quiet words he muttered.
"Faint attack." Atin perked up and tunneled down again. A few seconds past by, when suddenly Atin was behind the Abra, and launched his attack at the small pokemon.

Announcing your moves could be bad for an attack that was meant to be a sneak attack. This time it hit. But what it hit would come as a suprise too. Instead of the Pokemon the attack instead made contact with the man. Abra side stepped to take the attack to his back. Simultaneously his hand reached behind him. Grabing the Dratini by the tail. He proceded to swing it infront of him and down into the snow that would pack together and be almost like hitting a wall. The man proceded to dissapear. Abra and all. He reappears behind you, pointing one of his blades into your back.
"I do not belive you understand the arrangement. The battle is me against you. Each fighting alongside one Pokemon."
Well that's diffrent. In this time of no war people fighting alongside there pokemon is a rarely practiced art. But most would say that only those truly close to there Pokemon could preform well here.
Turning around you will find that the man has drawn bolth his blades. The sash that held them is torn on the ground. Signifying how he was able to draw them without making a sound. The abra on his shoulder still appears to be sleeping.
"Technically I have won. Placing you in a position where a death blow could be delivered. But seeing as you did not understand how the game is played you might want to continue. If not that is fine. A graceful loss is nothing to be ashamed of."

The man, with lightning reflexes stepped in to protect his abra. Calin was confused, by this turn of events. Was he going to keep stalling this battle or what. In the middle of his thoughts Atin had been thrown to the ground. This shook Calin from his thoughts, and the man spoke.
"I do not belive you understand the arrangement. The battle is me against you. Each fighting alongside one Pokemon."
Calin was ok with that, if this guy was going to play rough, Calin would show him how to play, but his first thought was to go check on Atin. He went to move, but was stopped as he felt the icy sting of steel against his skin.
"Technically I have won. Placing you in a position where a death blow could be delivered. But seeing as you did not understand how the game is played you might want to continue. If not that is fine. A graceful loss is nothing to be ashamed of."
Atin peeked out from the small snow crater it was in it made no movements when it saw Calin was in trouble. Calin made a signal with his hand, which seemed to make Atin stay back in the crater. Calin gave a small chuckle.
"Don't you think it's a little unfair? Not that it matters military life teaches you to learn on your feet."
In the next moment Atin sprung out of the ground hitting the man's blade aside. Calin spun away, and began walking back out of the lot, fingers to his lips in a whistle. He turned back to the man.
"One second, I would not have brought alongn this little guy, if I knew I was going to be in action." Calin raised the bundle of cloths.
Within a few moments from the sharp whistle. Runi came streaming down to Calin quick as the wind. After a few stroked and pats Runi settled down with the egg. Calin turned back to his opponent with Atin at his side.
"Now..." Calin started as he unbuckled his baggy pants. When he got the belt loose he reached into the side, and drew out a very odd sword. It was a hand and a half sword, and the blade was shaped like a giant serrated fang. He quickly buckled back up, and wielded the sword with two hands. "That I know all the rules lets get rolling."
Atin yelled in response, "TRAAAAAAAApinch!"
With that particles started falling from the sky. What at first could be mistaken for snow, then turned out to be sand. Within moments the lot was in a flurry of sand that began filling the air, and blocking sight. Calin pulled out a bandanna, and wrapped it around his mouth. He tapped Atin on the head, and charged. He went towards his opponent swinging controlled two handed swings, aimed to try and knock his opponent of balance. In the middle of one of his combos Atin shot out from behind his opponent, coming from another underground tunnel. His attack was aimed again at the guy's back.
((Not sure how this will affect things, but Trapinch's ability is arena trap. So however that will work against abra and teleporting, up to you since you aren't really using it to leave, or whatever.))
