The sand was a cheap trick. No matter though. Permafrost had blizzards that blocked out the sun for days. Abra, both the man and the Pokemon, already had most of there faces covered. It was odd that Calin kept his weapon inside of his pants. In a dire moment how would he get to his blade in time? No matter now. At least this would be a better match now that he understood the rules. The Trapinch was up to its same trick, but now Calin would be working with his Pokemon and attacking from the front. Surrounded it would seem. Sure they could match and use the same move again. But where was the fun in that.
Abra's eyes would become two blue lights through the wind of the sandstorm. Both Calin and his Pokemon would suddenly stop moving as they to where covered in a blue light. Both man and Pokemon are launched into the air by Abra's psychic energies. Once a good height up the blue energy disappears granting you control again. Not out of the oven yet as you are suddenly surrounded by the man with an Abra on his shoulder in mid air. Someone familiar with Abra would recall this move as the Pokemon using Teleport so quickly that it appears in multiple places at once. Or perhaps using Double Team to create copies of itself. Maybe even both. In a slightly lagged unison, six blades all come down towards you and your Pokemon at once. Which one will turn out to be the real strike?

Calin went in for a strike, totally preparing for the same teleporting move Abra used last time. He would not be caught a second time. He was surprised when both him and Trapinch were frozen in a stasis field. calin thought this would be the end of their second round, but was yet again surprised as him and Atin were launched into the air. Abra seemed to have duplicated himself and his pokemon into six forms. Calin could feel gravity kick in as the six blades came down in unison.
Calin had trained in aerial combat before, but that was with Runi, but that was a pokemon who could fly. His first goal though, would be the same, get to his pokemon. Calin latched onto Atin, and swung him around to meet his attckers. Without time to use any code words he simply shouted his command.
"Sand attack!"
Atin opened his mouth and shot a torrent of sand into the many attackers. Usually this attack was used to lower one's reaction time, but this had an added affect of propelling Calin and Atin downward, faster than his opponents. With the initial threat gone, Calin now had to deal with the hard ground coming towards him at an accelerated rate. He once again swung Atin around, and yelled out another command.
"Dig!"
Calin was very happy he had chosen Atin for this battle now. Atin was born to pull off moves like this. Calin had had the guy practice a maneuver like this multiple times, just in case he had ever been thrown into the air where he was most vulnerable, though he had never had himself being pulled along too, Calin was confident in Atin's ability. They hit the gorund, but kept going as if still falling. Next thing Calin knew he could feel their decent start bottoming out as Atin dug a tunnel, dragging Calin along. Now they just had to wait for his opponent to land Atin could then detect their vibrations, and the attack could resume. Hopefully Abra hadn't seen the two disappear below the surface, and assumed they had concealed themselves in the storm.

He had escaped. And now he had disappeared into the sandstorm. The storm was getting troublesome. Between vision problems and the constant damage. Though Calin would be taking that damage to. It was time for this storm to change. As if reading his mind, which of course he had, Abra, the Pokemon, looked up to the sky. Its eyes turned blue as the sand stopped and rain began. Being able to see just in time to watch his opponent flee into a hole. They where trapped now.
You would, for a split second, think you heard the opponet land. But the next second you would hear another. Then another. Then thundering down onto the ground above. You might not be able to tell where your opponent landed. But they do. The man would land just above your burrow entrance, sword pointed down. The Pokemon would land next to him and give an additional stomp on the ground. This would seem to be nothing at first. But this was actually the move torment. This move would prevent an opponent from using an attack multiple times in a row. Seeing as the last move used was dig, they wouldn't be able to use it to get back out again. Sure they could struggle back up the hole, a likely difficult trek, but Abra would be waiting at the peak, sword drawn. To top it off water would now be flooding the hole as it rained down. Worse still this was Permafrost, water didn't stay water long here. It would be freezing quickly.
"Freeze, drown, suffocate, or face the point of my blade. I believe I have won. I suggest announcing your loss before its to late."

Atin could hear the many thumps, and feel the seismic vibrations that were far to small for any human to compare. He was slightly confused as it felt like the enemy had landed multiple times. His confusion did not slip past Calin. Calin decided that the Abras had somehow figured out they had stowed away underground. Next came a sound Calin dreaded. First it was almost overlooked the sound of a slight drip. What was first easily missed, soon became a steady drip. The drip evolved into a stream, one that began filling up the little tunnel Atin had dug up. Calin who had been through all sorts of training knew the worst thing you could do in a cold climate like this was get wet. Calin prompted Atin to continue digging. Atin did not, at first Calin thought this to be some act of stubborn rebllion but looking at his pokemon he knew some higher power was keeping him from following orders. Calin was between a rock and a hard place right now, almost literally. This fact was reinforced by his opponent who called out, just above them.
"Freeze, drown, suffocate, or face the point of my blade. I believe I have won. I suggest announcing your loss before its to late."
Calin began muttering to himself, as a plan began to form together in his head. "I would have considered it had you just not given me your location." He said much too quietly for his opponent to hear. "Atin you should be able to locate the tip of his blade yes? Crunch."
The Trapinch obeyed and took a colossal bite out of the earth above their heads, and clamped on to the tip of Abra's blade.
"Hold on Atin, and sand storm." With that another gust of sand bulldozed the rain out of the area and it began pummeling those above the surface. Calin was safely below with a fresh source of air, and no more water draining, where as Abra would have to somehow get Atin off his weapo or drop it, before he could seek cover. Calin wanting to make sure he could protect Atin while he was pinning Abra the man, pushed up and widened the hole so he could easily maneuver his blade, and he took a few swipes at the man to keep him on his toes.

Tricky. But he still had another blade. Using it now, Abra used his Trapinch blade to knock back the next swipe from Calin. Then the second blade to strike down at the Trapinch. Abra the Pokemon on the other hand reacted with perfect timing and used Rain Dance again before the sand could cause any damage. The hole was filling again but it wouldn't matter now as Trapinch could use Dig again. But at least he couldn't use another round to rid the battlefield of the rain. In unison with its trainer attack, Abra also used Psychic again. Making both Calin and Trapinch immobile. Stopping his blade just before contact with the Trapinch, another surrender was requested.
"Its your Pokemon in check now, surrendering yet?"
The psychic would wear off soon. Hopefully they would surrender before hand. If not Abra would cast them deeper into the hole before losing his control of the two. Technically speaking this was a win, being able to strike your opponent a potential death blow. But the psychic was almost an unfair defeat. Its combination with teleport gave Abra the chance at an auto win from the beginning. Freezing his opponents the teleporting behind them to make his strike. No, he would allow this battle to continue until Calin surrendered by choice.

His opponent used a skillful block with his trapped blade to ward of the simple blows calin was dealing out. As the sand really started raging it was stopped in it's tracks as another bout of rain crushed the sand. All of Calin's early problems began literally rising. It would seem that they were at a total stand still. Any move to get a head of the other was soon put down and replaced with it's own offensive blow. Calin was in his element, for he had one way out of this never ending back and forth, it would just take one more go to have this plan unfold. Ironically Abra's defensive rain was helping his downfall.
Just as Calin was getting ready to defend Atin, and maneuver a way to finish the fight, a familiar tingling feeling ran through him. Calin realized yet again he had been hit with a psychic attack, rendering him and Atin immobile. Yet again surrender was requested, Abra's blade a few inches from Atin. Calin quickly went over his options. Between the fight so far and rain dance the pokemon abra had to be spread a little thin and probably couldn't hold Calin for very long. If it were his own well being in jeopardy he would go through with his plan without hesitation. Yet it was not, also this wasn't a fight he really wanted in the first place. Calin still thought about fighting, his plan so close to fruition, but the point was to simulate landing a killing blow, and had Abra wanted to kill Calin he would have. Calin quickly decided that he was done.
"I shall concede...this time." Calin simply stated.
As He was freed from the grasp of psychic he was pulled along by Atin until they were freed from the underground. Calin brushed off what he could of the mud that covered him nearly head to toe, and pulled a pokeball from his belt, returning Atin to the small orb. Calin rarely did this, but Atin had put up a good fight and deserved some rest. Plus it saved them from both experiencing the trek back through the snow.
Runi perked her head up seeing how the battle was now over. Calin approached her, and rubbed her head lightly before grabbing the egg, and all it's wrappings, mainly being his coat. Calin was cold, but he felt the egg was more important, his body could take care of itself. He turned back to Abra.
"Very good display of skill, thank you very much." Calin nodded his head. He wasn't one for bowing, unless it would cause world problems. "I would love to do it again sometime, but I would like to get this little thing taken care of."
As Calin was preparing to leave he suddenly remember what a hazard he had turned this lot into. "Oh! Also before I forget, you may want to do some landscaping before the whole lot turns into a sink hole, Atin did quite a number here, and I believe any heavy activity will cause all his holes to collapse."

Abra, who's Abra had joined him back on his shoulder now that the battle was over, smirked about the landscape and shrugged. "Thank you for the compliment and the concern, though this land is not mine to be worried about. but you seem to be leaving with your prize. I think you may have forgotten." He have a small deep laugh. "There is an egg shop around here somewhere, might not be a bad place to check." "ABRA!" Taunny had appeared looking none to happy. She threw out a Pokeball and, after an extended period of wight light that seemed to drastically change size, a three headed Tropius appeared. One of its heads yelled up into the sky and the other two at Abra. The wings on its back flapped as it fired sharp razor leaves just as the sky started to clear up. The freak of nature was using Razor Leaf and Sunny Day. Taunny calls out three headed Tropius, WHAT THE HELL! "We will meet again sooner than I bet you think." With his departing words Abra disappeared before the leaves could come into contact with him. Taunny Yelled exaggeratedly and storms up to Callin. Grabbing him by his clothes and shaking him. Behind her the Tropis lowers all three of its heads to stare at you, backing her up. "What have you been doing with that man? What did he say to you? Tell me EVERYTHING?!"

Abra told him there was an egg shop somewhere in town which could probably help. Calin politely bowed his head in appreciation, though he still kept his blank face demeanor. Next thing Calin knew he heard someone shout Abra. Calin calmly turned to see it was Taunny, and she didn't look happy, then again Calin couldn't recall there ever being a time she looked happy. She threw a pokeball and out came a horribly mutated Tropius that had three heads. It cleared the skies with sunny day, and rained down a storm of razor leaves at Abra. The man quickly said they would meet again, before disappearing right as the leaves were about to strike him.
Taunny began yelling up a storm. She marched right up to him and grabbed Calin and began trying to shake him. His strong body wouldn't budge under her grip, but he did nothing else to stop her attempts. She demanded to know everything. So Calin started at the beginning.
'Well he introduced himself said he was my guide, which seems pretty standard for these kind of things so I didn't think much of it. He said if I needed anything to ask him, so I inquired about the egg. he said he would help, but first wanted a fight. This was a little unusual for normal people, but seeing how I'm a guardian, and supposedly one of the stronger trainers from Omniforge it's not all that weird for me, plus I train dragons, so the request comes up pretty routinely for me..."
Calin went on in this fashion explaining everything, saying their conversations verbatim, and going into detail about the battle what happened all the way to the point when she showed up.
"I would say he's not one of yours, so I would like a little explanation." he stated all in his proper blank tone.

Taunny ignores your ending request and turns to leave. Probably not much you can do, she is in charge after all. But the fact that she didn't pummel you with questions or demands is probably a good sign that you did a good job with your explanation. You might be the first person in history to accomplish this. You might just deserve a gold star. To bad no one has any for you.
Taunny can be herd grumbling about something or other. If anyone had moved closer to her or perhaps had excellent hearing they would make out random mutterings of needing to get the damn lot repaired again. Third time this month. And something about backstabbing. Overall a load of nothing.

Taunny seemed pleased with his report and just left. Rude in some places, obviously not here. He was given no answer to his inquiries, except her random mutterings which Calin's trained ears picked up most of. He would just elt her go and be on his way, however he had gone through all of this for something, and he would get it.
His long stride easily caught up to Taunny, and he began matching her. He was showing he was not someone you just walk away from. "I would like to know who that man was. He has made it clear he will see me again, or so he thinks, and I would like to know who exactly I'm dealing with." Calin stated as if he had just started this conversation and that she hadn't walked away from him. "Also he mentioned an egg shop, and you said I could ask you for location of things."
Calin kept everything as short as he could, and not showing any emotion and being polite as possible, but also that he was not going to just go away.

You where getting demanding, maybe not to you but Taunny certainly was beginning to feel so. It isn't wise to get demanding of someone of a higher stature than you. Most certainly not while your a guest in there land. But perhaps you caught her in an interesting mood. Rather than chewing your head off, which her face seemed to portray she wanted to do. Taunny ignored you questionings. All but one.
"The egg shop is somewhere in the market district, you are currently in the business district."
Did she not know where the shop was? That would be preposterous. Not just because she was the leader, but because she was Taunny. And Tuanny wasn't the kind to not know everything she could know. Clearly she didn't feel a need to give you more direction than that. Maybe you should quit your questioning attitude while your ahead.

Calin could tell his slightly out of line approach was only making Taunny mad. Calin laughed a little on the inside, as he kept his polite smile. Technically speaking he was being proper in his inquiries, and just asking questions. He guessed Taunny didn't like it when soldiers played politics. Calin didn't really care, one way or the other, he wasn't here to start the war, and it wasn't his business to get into.
"Thank you." He replied in his even tone, and he began deviating from Taunny's path, even though she hadn't really answered anything.
Calin strode off to where he believed the market district was, asking for directions and the like, trying to find the egg shop.
