1) In an epic battle, those who control the weather... in the games, only Pokemon like Kyogre were able to induce world-effecting weather patterns. If something like Sunny Day and Rain Dance were used, how many battles would that effect?
2) How in the heck are we going to do a war battle once we have an epic field battle? Soldiers meeting one on one during their own battle? If a soldier finishes their battle before another, can they assist another on the field?
3) Until there are more members to this RPG, what are active cannons supposed to do?
4) Breeding... what are our options? Obviously there will be more need for Pokemon with certain skills above others. Maybe raising a whole swarm of Raticate for the front line grunts?
5) How do we keep track of the nations budget as a whole?

1) Weather moves have a localized effect only.
2) Sounds about right.
3) No clue. Make threads like everyone else does. Missions, that sort of thing.
4) Never thought about it; I'd bring it up with the other admins.
5) See 4).

No you can not. I have no idea why Josh proposed that...?
As for why your questions went unanswered for X period of time, saw it brought up in the Cbox. I wanted to get an opinion from the other staff members. I was unable to and now it seems Josh has taken the liberty of answering the questions himself. But here is my say on it.
1) Localized yes BUT in a wide area. Large enough that you wouldn’t be able to simply step out of it. Like if used in ardhana it would cover the entire board you used it in. EX- used in Hekero Village it will cover all of Hekero Village.
2) That does sound about right. Though in said situation feel free to kill off whatever NPC's you would like. There can be a battle going on whenever anyone would like, for those of the warring nations at least. I started a warring thread and no one bothered to post in it. But since at any time you could be sent to the front lines then feel free to create how the battle goes there. I'd love to see somewhere get conquered, anywhere larger than one of the small towns will need admin approval, but it would be great to see.
3) View 3. But also part of being a cannon is having the ability to be anyone’s NPC or Pokemon NPC for them. As well as a commanding role over anyone under them. I would also like to see people doing there Training threads. Which I have seen lately and am happy about. But a training thread doesn’t need to be a battle, It can be a single post of you training your pokemon recreationally. Really I see that more as a battle and not as training. It can be both but personally I would count it as one or the other that way you can get more experience with a second thread. All high ranking soldiers also can do a training thread where they are training their troops.
4) This is something I wanted to discuss with the other Admins but for now I would say not to go overboard. But feel free to breed a bit if you wish. The Radicate thing could be a good idea, but perhaps hold it off for now. Though I would see it more as using them to plague a town rather than front line fighters.
5)You don’t.......I really don’t see why this would be important. As far as you should need to know is your own funds. Things are well priced in the shops and you get 200 per post. But if you have a reason perhaps you could post it and it may convince a system into being made?
Lastly while I’m here I would like to clear up that Josh is not the Mission Moderator. He is the Global Moderator. ALL staff members have access to the Mission Mod account. So missions are not determined by one person or another.

The reasons I had that as a training thread is that he'll be coaching her through the battle. It's a step by step thing more than a full "I'm gonna kill ya" thread.
1) Couple of other questions; Can we sacrifice an attack for what I'd call a "Set Up". Particularly in wide-spread battles, you can position another Pokemon so that it can get hit by something else. For instance, shoving someone in the path of another's attack?
2) Does each Pokemon on the field have an attack/defense move, or does the entire post have an attack/defense move? Like, if we were doing multiple Pokemon in one battle, would three Pokemon be able to attack at the same time?
3) I highly suggest "Summary" posting at the end of a post to tell the mechanics of the entire thread to make it easier to follow... particularly when multiple trainers and Pokemon are involved, this is going to suck. This will allow all Pokemon to keep track of their turns as well as positions.
4) I'd love to join a war post. Would it be possible to sticky the next one so that I can find it easier?

1) I'd say feel free to sacrifice whoever you want. I mean if its someone else’s pokemon don’t say it gets hit but post yourself grabbing it to throw it in front of the attack. But anything like that is fine I suppose. Though the motion would likely count as a dodge....or a counter...I’m not sure which. either i suppose. since you are both blocking the attack but also dodging yourself out of the way.....
2) In theory they all could attack. I think it would be a bit of a power play to just up and do it cause you could easily give your opponent no chance of escape. But yes you could do so.
3) Anyone may feel free to summary post, as you put it. I wont require it of everyone. It can be helpful but can also break the flow of the RP. Then again you don’t have to read it. So don’t worry about doing it if you want to. Its a good idea.
4) Yes i can sticky it if you would like. Being a high rank would you like to set up the next one? let me know what your thinking and what not.

Right now, I'm trying to set up some diplomacy with Ardhana, but Terunda is doing the same... that's a recipe for trouble if they arrive at the same time, particularly with General Naaman being Megidovan nobility and away from his country to not arrange the troops.

I dont think meeting will be of any issue. I dont quite understand your concern even. Your bolth gone and your not REQUIRED to run the troops.
As for the diplomacy Ardhana allready has trades with bolth countries and has stated they will not be entering the battle. But I suppose other things could be nigotiated.

I'm just making sure that other things won't be negotiated. Okay, few more questions; 1) Can there be direct attacks to trainers to take them down... if so, do they have dodges like Pokemon do? 2) Are there Siege Engines like Ballistas which could be used against Pokemon in an Epic Battle setting? 3) How much preparation time would an army have to set traps and such before an epic war starts?

Yes any trainer can be attacked at any time. I personaly dont think there should be a limit on dodges and what not for them though. Pokemon are to be used to protect the trainer so past that they should be able to defend themselves.
NOPE no engines of any type. Basic mechanics of sience such as levers or pullys are all youve got acess to. There are catapults allready. They are used not only to throw rocks but also pokemon that explode or release gasses. EX-Voltorb, Toxing, the catapult can only lift so much weight.
Chances are its not simply a random meeting of sides. There will be one acampment attacking another. Or a siege on a town. Traps could be set but really I dont know what you would do? Want to elaborate?

Digging pit traps, dousing the field with oil so a fire attack could fry the opposing army. Getting a pallasade up (considering there are Pokemon to haul things, this would take faster than normal). Digging a cave underneath the army to cause the ground to fall under the weight of heavy Pokemon. Digging a shallow water ford to allow for electric attack... that sort of thing.

It would fully depend on the situation. in allmost all cases the exact location of the battle would be completly unplanned. but an area around a defending city/encampment, or something, would likely have prepreations set up before hand. Aimply as precautionary measures.
But a battle would only be planned out by one side, assumeably the attacking one. The other side would likely have no idea of just what will be happening and have only moments to prepare as they realise they are about to be attacked. But as the two sides meet the exact location of the battle would be undeterimable. It could push in either direction or in a random direction all together.
Things like traps could be done durring battle. Say one pokemon hydropumps an area then another pokemon uses an electric attack. Or a digging pokemon could burrow beneith the enemy and cause them to fall. A hole qoch in itself could be turned into a trap I suppose.
But over all I think the awnser is no. Traps will mostlikely not be set up beforehand of a battle, at least not specofocly for said battle. Traps can be made durring, long before, mabye after if someone feared a seccond strike.

Unless they were attacking a fortress... but other than that, I see your point.

A question about the royalty making missions, I think that there actually is some promise to that! They could write out missions to have approved and controlled by a moderator, they could work on their political agenda, make enemies, control territory, create assassin missions, etc.
