HERMES EUDUS ARKADIOS
Age: 52
Gender: Male
Appearance:
Personality: Normally, Hermes is a kind and gentle man. Ever since he was young, he's been the type to put the wants and needs of others before his own. Since becoming king, he's done everything within his power to help those who needed it, while being strict when needed. Despite what one might assume, he's far from a pushover. Just because he is kind and generous doesn't mean he is willing to overlook a serious crime. In fact, when it becomes necessary, he can be quite ruthless, though this doesn't mean he enjoys ever having to act in such a manner.
This said, every man has their dark side, and Hermes is no exception. Though he tries desperately to remain the kind and gentle man he always has been, the incident that took his wife away from him has also made him into a bitter shell of his former self. More than anything else, he eagerly awaits the day he can make the King of Megidova pay for what he did. Thoughts of revenge consume his mind and, while he does his best to remain the same king that his people love, he has grown weary of the ongoing war. It saddens him deeply, knowing that countless men, women and Pokemon have lost their lives in his name, and that many more will probably lose thier lives in the days to come. And yet, he knows that he can't stop...if he did, Garuna would be at the tyrant's mercy, and he would rather die than let that happen.
History: Hermes was born to the former king and queen of Terunda, Alistar and Irene Arkadios. As a boy, he was quite energetic and adventurous. Naturally, his being a prince meant that he was closely guarded at all times. However, his parents were also careful about making sure he didn't become sheltered or spoiled. As such, he was allowed to explore the lands (within reason) and mingle with the "common folk", and enjoyed doing so greatly. This, in turn, made him rather popular even before he became king. He also became fascinated with Pokemon, to absolutely no one's surprise. Being surrounded by them and watching the knights spar, it's only natural that he himself would become interested. As such, his father gave him his first Pokemon when he was ten years old...a Golett. The two of them became inseparable partners, even as they eventually went on to catch more Pokemon
At the age of 16, Hermes discovered, much to his annoyance, that his mother and father had already made arrangements for him to marry someone they had chosen. The girl in question was Palma Rios, who came from a family of wealthy and highly influential people. As it turned out, both of their fathers were close friends, and had made the arrangement just after the both of them were born. Despite his initial objections, his attitude changed when he actually met her for the first time. As it turned out, she was quite beautiful, and he was instantly smitten. The two of them spent more and more time together and, over the next few years, fell in love. When they both turned 24, they officially got married. Tragedy struck soon after. It soon turned out that Palma was unable to bear children, which essentially meant that she would be unable to produce an heir.
Though deeply saddened by this news, Hermes remained by her side, assuring her that they would deal with the issue of deciding on a new king when it came up. The following years continued on without incident, until, when Hermes turned 34, his parents grew ill, one after the other. Their time was short and it became clear what needed to be done. His parents died only a couple days later. On that day, he and his wife were crowned as the king and queen of Terunda. His reign was off to a slightly rocky start, mostly due to some mild conflict with the neighboring kingdom of Megidova and its ruler. However, once he got the hang of things, he lived up to everyone's expectations and became a great ruler. For eights years, he ruled without major incident. However, one thing changed that...the murder of his wife. The fact that she wasn't even the intended target only served to infuriate him even more. Thus, after forcing a confession out of the assassin and having him executed, he declared war on the kingdom of Megidova, whose king was responsible for Palma's death. Even after a decade, the war continues, and has taken a hefty toll on the otherwise benevolent ruler. Still, he is, if nothing else, determined to put an end to it...as far as he's concerned, the only way for this to happen is to take down the King of Megidova so he can avenge the loss of his beloved.
Country of Residence: Terunda, obviously
Allegiance: Terunda
Rank: Royal Family - King
Additional Information: Due to the fact that it was an Arbok that took his wife's life, he harbors an extreme hatred of the species and its pre-evolution, Ekans. Though he doesn't go as far as to actually ban the capturing and training of them, having one out in his presence is one of the easiest ways to anger him and incite his wrath.

This looks pretty good. Nicely detailed and you even included a name for his parents and deceased wife.
