Levinsky Eisenberg
Age: 27
Gender: Male
Appearance:
Personality: ================ The Light, =========
Keeping his neck out of risky businesses is a redeeming quality of Levinsky. He doesn't take unnecessary gambles and risks, almost keeping to the typical personality of an Ardhanian. He almost seems to operate by the proverb, "Curiosity killed the cat." Because he believes that standing by the side-lines will not endanger him or his country in any way, Levinsky does his best to remain a neutral element and tries not to let people provoke him into acting on turbulent emotion.
Being a soldier of the imperial army gives rise to nationalism, he is protective of his queen and of everything he holds dear to himself. Free and clean of the war outside of the kingdom gates, Levinsky has been exposed to nothing but firmly kept peace and strifeless days. Knowing nothing more than the typical information of the war between Teruda and Megidova, Levinsky thinks of his country as one of the more "sensible" kingdoms. There is nothing for them to fight for right now, so why should they fight?
Usually assigned to patrol the perimeters of the city, he remains fairly uninvolved in the war effort. Since the war has not yet made it as far as there, it is as if he takes this peace for granted. As a result, Levinsky is easy-going and not in the least troubled by the looming threats. He sees a lot more drama going on in his social life than while on the job. With that in mind, he likes to keep an open eye out for possible love interests. Levinsky takes things slowly and with a rhythmatic pace. Although this might not be good entirely, over-working oneself and being overwrought with anxiety does not do much good for the body or the mind.
================ And The Shadows, =========
Jumping to conclusions has always been a weak-point of his ever since he was in grade school. He assumes the worst of people despite never meeting them. Always interpreting strangers by the rumors circulating around Ardhana, Levinsky is constantly led astray by the blindness of others.
Along with seeing through the viewpoints of others, Levinsky can't let go of a grudge that easily. Being an unforgiving miser has always followed him around. Levinsky never sees past the anger, lies, and hurt that have been done unto him. Fearful of times, he will drop out if the risk factors are too high. Even though he is highly protective of his loved ones, even the desire to protect somebody seems to quail under the weight of his paranoia. He's selfish for keeping such a childish quality with him 'til this day, but being agitated and paranoid from the stifling peace of Ardhana, could you not help but be so easily irritated?
Always letting his cowardance get the best of him, he is quick to push the blame onto others. Seeing anybody that looks at him the wrong way or finding out that somebody he is not too fond of was talking to his date gets him riled up and over-protective. He jumps the gun on this one, going so far as to issue small threats, warning the offenders off without so much as a care for his date's feelings, and also pushing his own selfish feelings onto the girl.
History: ================ Age 1-14 =========
"Reporting for duty.. Sir." A blonde-haired teenager pushed open the door, letting a shaft of sunlight illuminate the small room. The light caught against the motes of dust, filling the room with soft rounded balls of light. He took a few steps forward tentatively, his feet crunching against the pile of papers littered across the ground. Levinsky walked over to a large mahogany desk. Sitting in a large groaning chair with his legs propped up on the desk, a beer-bellied man snored in place.
From his early childhood to the age of fourteen, Levinsky worked as an understudy for the public police force rather than enlisting in the army. The moment the news of war stirred the hearts of Ardhanians, Levinsky was only twelve years old. He thought nothing of it, thinking that with his place in the enforcement of justice, the young man has done quite enough. It was here he began to be involved with something related to the kingdom's defense. He met regularily with the other enforcement members and after initiation, was given his first pokemon, a patrat by the name of Ranger, by the chief of affairs herself. Admittedly, despite the strong desire to protect their nation, times there were peaceful and the force really never did anything for the kingdom.
================ Age 15-17 =========
"The war is progressing at a fast rate." The second-in-command reported, hitting the papers in his hand with the back of his hand. "At this rate," He said gruffly, "Cuts from the budget will run our station out of business.. The kingdom seeks more protection from our army than their local station." The man slid a red paper across the table and folded his arms in front of him almost irritably, waiting to see what the chief said. "Well..." She slurred her words, letting them draw out. The rest of the officers stood waiting anxiously, looking on with an expression of alarm. They had seen the slip of paper as it slid across the table. A letter of withdrawal. The city wanted to station to retire.
================ Age 18-23 =========
They did it. A few days following the report, a red-necked official showed up in front of the station just as the morning patrol was getting ready to depart. Although Levinsky can't remember much of the incident himself, he only recalled blood rushing to his ears the moment a public annoucement was made to shut the station down. The man departed, leaving in his wake, a midst of chaos. The one thing the official had said before leaving was: "If you all really want to protect Ardhana, stop running this soft charade and join the army! That'll do everybody some good."
At a lost for words and out of a job, Levinsky had no choice but to enlist in the army. He had a strong affinity for protecting his town. Since he was doing that at a very young age, he has long since grown accustomed to the act of patrolling. At the age of nineteen, he enlisted in the army. Although he was made to do nothing but patrol, Levinsky can't help but feel discontented by the life he leads now.
================ Age 24-27 =========
Well.. He wanted action and he got it. Life was peaceful for the past few years. Levinsky was in a relationship, love was budding, he had a decent pay-roll, and he added a few more comrades to his team. Also, at the age of twenty four, he was called from the reserves to be a full-fledged Ardhanian soldier. Yet unknown to him, he was in the same regiment as the man that shut down their station.
Feelings of fear, disgust, and hatred prohibited him from completely becoming successful. During drills, training, and patrols, he constantly bickered with the man. It got the point where anybody Levinsky had associated with before who had, at one point in their life, made contact with the red-necked man, was shunned for lack of trust.
His constant discontent with how the army opperates has gotten to him severely. It made him the fidgety, distrustful, and overly protective man he is now. Although he is loyal to Ardhana at heart, what good does loyalty do when most of your happiness has escaped you?

To chase my wishes I'll carry on living And I will always remember the depths of the darkness I'll face my demons and I'll no longer run away There isn't a place to go I'll lose this feeling of being so helpless 'Cause my whole life is ahead of me I'll quash the numbness 'Cause pain's better than the emptiness
