Personality: Jamie is a young woman with child-like dreams and a tendency towards unorthodox courses of action. She’s open for anything and will often take something new shown to her by examining it in detail and then giving her opinion on it, whether it’s wanted or not. Jamie has a habit of being cheerful even in bad situations, a trait that often gets her in further trouble for not taking the adversity in front of her seriously. The truth is that she is often being silly to cope with problems, and when that doesn’t work, she will shut down emotionally for a while. As she is still only 15 she will often not respect people who she feels are too serious or otherwise undeserving of her respect for not trying to understand her. Once you’ve gained her respect, good job, as she’ll then be far friendlier (and a smidge less strange). Jamie will actively help the few people she considers a friend in any way she can, though asking her to help with something may often result in it being performed differently from what you want with results about the same as the desired method.
History: Homeschooled since childhood, Jamie’s parents taught Jamie that if you can come up with a better method than the one someone else asks you to do, do it your way, and that the best people don’t need to ride the coattails of any group to succeed. This was reflected in using strange lines of logic to answer questions on various subjects correctly and her refusal to be referred to as either gender. However, this also resulted in Jamie attempting to explore the unknown by fiddling with everything she could find, often getting her in trouble with authorities. Jamie has never had any inclination towards joining the military, as she believed that being in an army resulted in picking a side and removing freedoms gained from not choosing. However, once she hit 13, Jamie’s parents decide that it would help Jamie mature if she enlisted in the Terundan forces.
At least, that was the plan. Though she was initially accepted into the forces and given two pokemon to work with, she did not last long in the military. Her inability to take things seriously, as well as her general dislike of being forced to take a side in a matter that she wasn’t concerned with, was her downfall, and thus was removed from service at 15. She took that as an excuse to leave Terunda and see the rest of the world with three pokemon: the two given to her during her service (that she ‘forgot’ to give back) as well as one pokemon she’s had since childhood. She still returns to Terunda every so often since she still isn’t quite old enough to completely fend for herself,

Additional Information: Jamie may seem a bit off-kilter for a character, but that’s the point of her: she’s a teenage girl who has illusions of grandeur and wants to go on crazy adventures and quests so as to explore and learn more about things. Also, she has a habit of giving people she meets playful, if possibly insulting, nicknames. Generally these nicknames stick until she respects or otherwise likes the person, in which case she’ll refer to them by their actual name.
