Captain Adrian Sunn
Age: 21
Gender: Male
Appearance:
Personality: In more ways than not, Adrian is the spitting image of his father. Not only in appearance but also in the way he goes about life. His family instilled in him an intense sense of duty to the King and to his kingdom and he is a stalwart defender of the need for the destruction of Medigova. Ever since his father's death this dedication to his homeland has only increased as a sign of respect for his late father. Destroying Medigova and all within it has become the core of his being.
He pities his mother, and tries to do all he can to help her cope with the loss of his younger brother and his father in the last week. Yet his duties to the crown as a replacement for his father often keep him away, his duty to his kingdom prevailing to his duty to his family. As he becomes more and more engaged in the desicions that take place in the Terundian headquarters Adrian begins to see more and more oppurtunitys for a more aggresive stance, which has earned him much favour amongst the courts.
He is a solid advocate for full scale war but has learnt that most victories are earn't through brute force, they are won through subtle strikes, which he often puts into action whilst he waits for the inevitable to arrive. When the ever-looming war arises he will be more than ready to take it on with full strength.
History: Adrian is the oldest of the three brothers in the Sunn family, as such he inherited the most pressure and the most praise. By the time he was five he had receieved his first pokemon, a Horsea he named Esa, that would grow to become his signature pokemon as a soldier and then a sergeant in the Terundian army by the time he was fifteen. With Esa Adrian spent all his childhood days in training, by the time he was ten he'd already graded of primary training for knighthood and was training with those almost twice his age. He took pride in his battling prowess and before long Esa evolved into a Seadra and then after the customary tradition of trading a Seadra with a Dragon Scale back and forth with his father Esa evolved into the powerful Kingdra that she is today.
Adrian is one of the youngest soldiers ever to serve in the Queen's elite, and yet he is also one of the best. In reaching the status of Sergeant just after his fifteenth birthday he recieved his "Runner" and "Flyer," respectively an Absol and a Tropius bred by the Royal Proffesor.
The Absol he dubbed Ezekia, after his grandfather, the two did not start out well and the scar that defines Adrian's face is a result of early confrontation with Ezekia. However Adrian does have a genuine compassion for his pokemon and over the years the two established a solid relationship based on mutual respect. In addition to serving as Adrian's runner Ezekia and Adrian often undertake covert missions together into the lands of Ardhana and Megidova.
The Tropius, to whom he bestowed the name Icana, was a different story. Icana immediately warmed to Adrian and see's herself as a sort of mother to him. She is highly defensive of her trainer and dosen't like letting anyone she dosen't know near him. Adrian has learnt that she is not a fan of battling and hence has decided not to use her unless in dire consequences.
As the years went on Adrian was given more and more responsibility as a soldier, he was sent on more and more covert operations and effectively became a spy for his father and his right hand man. He sepnt more time abroad than at home, gathering intel, leading small raids against the Medigovan forces and spreading rumors about the collapsing state of the Medigovan empire throughout Ardhana.
On one such mission that involved a trip to the Glacier's amongst the Quelle Mountains Adrian found himself drawn to a mysterious sound. The cry of a pokemon he had never heard before and was so alluring he simpl couldn't resist and after hours of following such a sound he found himself face to face with a Froslass mourning the loss of it's partner after a battle with a Wild Abomansnow.
As Adrian turned to leave he found that the Froslass began following him out of the mountains. It continued to follow him home all the way to Terunda. All the while the pokemon remained completely silent, she hasn't spoken since. Although Adrian never technically caught the Froslass he has dubbed Sori, she takes to him like a trainer and is a force to be reckoned with in any battle. As Adrian never caught Sori she instead hangs by his side, an ever silent and forboding presence for any passerby.
The last few weeks have been a massive turning point in Adrian's life. Over the last few days his youngest brother, Nathaniel, dissapeared one night, he is thought to have been kidnapped by Medigovan forces. Most pressingly on his mind however is the abrupt death of his father, which is proving to become more and more suspicious as more circumstances come to light.
Isiah Sunn died in the middle of the night with no reasonable explanation as to why. He was certainly fit, healthy and was one of the youngest cpatains the Terundian Army had ever seen, only beaten by Adrian whom was tasked with replacing him. As Adrian delves more and more into the suspicious circumstances surronding his father's death he draws closer to the conclusion that it was an assasination by Medigovan forces, yet other intel would lead him to believe that such a murder may actually have been motivated by one of Terunda's own.
After the death of his father and the dissapearance of Nathaniel Adrian's mother Cynthia fell into something that only be described as insanity. She has not left her room for days, will not eat and has been heard talking to herself from the outside of her door. Engulfed by his military duties Adrian left responsibility of caring for his mother to his brother Yosef, whom has taken leave from the military to do so.
When Isiah Sunn's will came to pass it was found that he specifically requested that his Donphan, Roiba, be given to his son as a symbol of his recognition as a Captain whom would replace him. Ruibo has not taken this change of trainer lightly and treats Adrian with minimal respect, taking orders and battling as he is told most of the time yet remaining prone to moments of intense stubborness that has led Adrian to refrain from utilizing his once legendary prowess in battle.
Adrian's current efforts focus on locating his youngest brother and ensuring his safe return. Not nesscecerally because he is family, but moreso because of what he knows about Terunda's military capacity. If, as Adrian suspects, he has been kidnapped by enemy forces then it is pertinent to Terunda's success in this war that they get him back home. Or at the very least stop him revealing that which Terunda does not want revealed...
