When you create a post, it's not always clear who/what you want as far as another character or Moderation goes. So, to make things easier, the following go into effect as of now.
When starting a thread, if you want a specific member's character to post in it, add that character's name in parenthesis to the title of the thread. if you don't care who posts in it, then add Open. That's pretty common knowledge as far as RPing on proboards goes. But there's more.
If you want a mod to RP as a wild Pokemon for your character to capture, add (Wild) to the end of the title. If you're looking for an NPC battle, then add (Battle). If you wish to battle another member, then add the word Challenging followed by the character's name in parenthesis. Make sure the person you're fighting is okay with it ahead of time.
If you're taking part in a mission (which will be coming soon), then simply make the title the name of the mission, with (Mission) at the end, just to be doubly sure we know what it is. Just for the sake of simplicity, I must ask members who aren't involve with a thread that isn't labeled as Open to refrain from posting in them, just to avoid any potential confusion.
So, this has become an issue lately, that needs to be stated: PLEASE follow the established posting order in the threads UNLESS directly stated by the people in your thread to break the posting order for some reason Ex: extended time away.
If there is some other reason you wish to break posting order, bring it up with the other people in your thread.
For anyone who may not be aware.
Posting Order- Is the order in which people are posting in a thread. It is usually defined by who posts 1st 2nd 3rd and so on. So after the person in 3rd posts it is the 1st persons turn again as the process continues. This concept is like a blanket rule for RPing.
When breaking posting order you are not only throwing off the thread but you are also removing the potential to have more to put into your post. Having the information gathered from two posts rather than one.
There are instances where breaking order is excusable. Such as if you are being attacked in a thread. But it is still looked down upon if you do not first ask the other members of the thread if breaking the order is ok.
Please try not to break posting order to often.
Anyone who has any comments, questions or objections regarding any of the above may feel free to post.
